"looking for a Producer or Agent, who can shop around, tons of excellent film pitches"

"Me and My partner are struggling screenwriters. Who's been writing screenplay together for a while now. But got overwhelmed, with creating just the film pitch itself. Coming up with ton of great and edible ideas. Hopefully selling some of our great ideas, and letting these well established film companies, deal with the actual screenplay. If you indeed can help us out, or who like to network with us. Please feel free to message us" Thank You kindly!

Eli make sure you check out the Happy Writers. Joey, the president, actually helps coach you and prepares you for pitching to executives and then offers a service to pitch to some of the top executives in Hollywood. You can read more here: https://www.stage32.com/happy-writers/pitch-sessions

I don't think it is realistic to shop around ideas when excellent writers are shopping around excellent scripts. No one who doesn't know you will be interested, unless you already have an impressive track record or are a big name. This is a really rough market and you have to have a top script that has won prizes like the Nicholls (or at least placed high in the contest) or Fade In or other top contests. Then the agents will contact you. I am a director and I also script doctor if you are interested in my looking at the script you have. You have to have a perfect form and a compelling story and you need someone in the business to read it and give you notes. Once you have a great script then enter it in contests, win and THEN pitch it. Don't pay money to learn to pitch until you have done what I suggest or you are wasting your money.

Hi Eli.. umm... - My partner and I are struggling screenwriters who have been writing screenplays together for a while... - ...I understand why you're struggling... aside from that, pitching an idea is not going to cut it. Studio execs, producers, directors, writers, editors, and folks off the street come up with millions of ideas every month. I truly doubt you'll see a dime from tossing your ideas on the table.

I have a Movie & TV Trivia Game Show that I've created called "HOLLYWOOD FLASHBACKS"......I've secured the copyright/trademark and have a treatment, with a prelim budget. I now need help getting it pitched to some L.A. agents/network executives for future development. Perhaps you can help me in this regard. I'm new to Stage 32 and seeking to network with someone that is "a bonafide industry insider". Checkout me IMDb Link: www.imdb.me/kennhinton

Kenn, I wish I could help but that is not my area at all. Just call agents who do that. You might have some luck that way. See who is doing what you do.

Eli

Can an "IDEA/CONCEPT" be so Genuine & Unique, plus Original. That Hollywood would (An Agent or Producer) take it off your hands, and put effort into it.

Eli

Hello Georgia Hilton.. Um... Hollywood studios know that their most talented scriptwriters don’t necessarily have the best and most original story ideas. This is why they buy ideas from many different sources. They don’t care where an idea comes from. But if it’s good they want to own it.

John Vizzusi

Firstly you need to find a legit Agency that will accept your submissions. Agents come later when a deal may be pending.

Deryn Warren

Eli, I don't see any agents or networks buying ideas from complete unknowns or many knowns for that matter. Write your script. Write it again and again and get a professional like me to look at it and then write it again. Ideas are a dime a dozen. Please don't pay to present just an idea. It will waste your money. Believe me. Get your script into shape. You have a lot of competition. Don't be discouraged, just do the work.

Deryn Warren

John, don't you mean that you need to find an agent to submit your script and to represent you when it gets optioned?

John Vizzusi

No I do not. What happens first are Reader Desks. So once submitted to a agency that accepts your material, Readers will comment, make suggestions, accept or reject etc. Once you have signed on to a bonefide agency representing screenwriters and you receive offers, the you can hire a agent to represent yourself but it usually is after a deal is pending or happens. "Don't ever pay anyone upfront to sell or option your script or treatments." Legit Agent's take a percentage once a Deal is made.

Eli

"We have like two screenplays, but a tons of "Synopsis". And your telling us that you can't shop an Genuine, Unique & Original Idea around. That it has never been done before ?

John Vizzusi

"I would highly suggest anyone with a 1st Draft Script, Treatment or even a Synopsis that has a History of Writing Credits or have sold their work before utilize: http://www.inktip.com/ Inktip is the Scriptwriters Network than Hollywood looks to to find Screenplays for any genre.

Deryn Warren

You can shop your ideas but don't pay to do it. And you won't sell ideas. John's advice above it good. Get a perfect screenplay and shop that, but I think you don't want to hear me. So go for it and learn. Just DON'T PAY. If you were huge and well known you might (though very unlikely) get paid for just an idea. My client who won the prizes recently had agents and managers calling him.
