Ok.. I have a GREAT GREAT GREAT IDEA for a movie... Nobody has done this before.. not this way. It will change the way people see movies ! It doesn't cost much (obviously.. it can be done with famous actors and special effects.. but it can also be done in a simpler way). It will only work if I find a COURAGEOUS producer who believes in it above all... because he could face many many problems. It will also work if the secret is kept up to the last moment.. when the movie is out! I am not a writer but wrote 4-5 pages with the essence of the story (that can be changed.. even substantially... if the basic idea is kept) So... where do I start ? Who can I involve writers.. producer... finances.. but keep the secret ?

If your idea is really special, your first step would be to hire a writer and get him to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. That way you could have a full script with only you and the writer knowing about it. But the only way to really keep it a secret would be to finance it yourself with your own funds and have everyone on the crew sign NDAs. If you want someone to give you money, they're going to want to know what your story is and what the twist is, and if they like it, they could take your idea and go do it themselves if they wanted and there is nothing you could really do about it. BUT if you already had a script and actors and other things in place, they would be much less likely to do this. That's assuming that the idea is really special, and if you're new to the film industry or storytelling, your idea might not be that special and it might not be as good as you think. Not saying that it isn't, but it's rare that someone has some genius idea.
