A logline gets to the heart of the story in 25-35 words. It should contain at least 4 out of 5 elements; the setting, the hero, the villain, the problem and the hook. It leaves out needless detail which will only muddy the main idea, which makes people want to know more.
Anthony's answer was great. basically when you read a log line you want to picture the movie in your imagination and not have too many questions, only fun ideas about where the story could go
