To Whom It May Concern: My name is Thomas Leemon, an associate marketing director for the film project Going Through The Motions. We invite you to partner with us in premiering our short film, set to release on January 24, 2015. Going Through The Motions is based on the blog written by Ryan Walters, a young man with a heart for Christian millennials, that attempts to bridge the gap between lost Christians and the cause of Christ. Going Through The Motions, a six-minute peek into the routines of lukewarm Christians, focuses on the tendency to fall away from Christ within our daily lives. We believe that our message, the call to be genuine and honest, resonates with all people whether or not they are Christian. Our vision does not end with the creation of this film, but stretches far beyond the premier. Our vision is to create a movement based in genuine Christianity, grounded in the truths found in the Word of God. We simply use this film as a starting point to get the wheels in motion towards our goal – passionate Christian living. We are aware that this is ambitious, but we believe sincerely in the momentum of this mission and are anxious to see it succeed by the grace of God. That is where you come in. We want to share our ambition with you, as partners, in hopes of witnessing it come to fruition. With your support, the opportunity to reach others will grow exponentially. By becoming a host of the nationwide release, taking place on January 24th, 7-8:30 PM (EST), you’ll help us get one step closer towards our goal. This screening will take place on your campus, in your church, at your youth group, or wherever you feel you can best spread the word with us. Following the event, we will be available for a live Google Hangout with Ryan Walters, the producer, where we’ll answer questions, comment on tweets and posts, and get to know our supporters. We ask for a $95 donation (gifts are tax-deductible) to support our project, however, that is not a requirement to be a host for this event.
