To be frank I shouldn’t be so honest, but I want people to know me. My name is Forrest L. Rawls my famous cousin Wilson Rawls “Where the Red Fern Grows” started his short career in his later years, and I seem to be following his example. I’m a writer, a procrastinator and dreamer. I’ve worked on a few ideas. I have a couple of short screenplays, and I have one feature script complete, yet I’ve been told it still needs work. I do have a mentor, but due to the lack of funds, he is slow in getting back to me. I’ve read many books and taken a few classes, and many people have read my work. I’m ready to write yet I don’t write consistently because I have been in the slumps of writing. I’m in the zone of “am I good enough? “ I know people want to hear accomplishments and awards for their scripts I don’t have those I just have my ideas, and I’m working on perfecting my craft. I hope you want to learn more about me if you do I have some scripts posted on Stage32 and further writing on my blog http://www.whiteshadowllc.com/wp if you want to see information on the comic book I worked on you can find out more at http://www.whiteshadowllc.com Thank you all and have a great holiday! Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!
This is one of my favorite posts to this lounge. Honest, not boastful, and true to what I feel a lot of creatives feel, regardless of their level. I'm sure many people will feel comforted by your post and know that they are not alone and will hopefully encourage more honesty. I'm no expert in screenwriting or success, but I can only hope that if you put as much honesty and heart into your screenplays as you did to this post, there will HAVE to be some bites :-) Best of luck!
