Introduce Yourself : Playwright/ProducerAuthor by Diane Baia Hale

Hello Everyone! I'm fairly new to this site and would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. I'm Diane Baia Hale, a Chicago playwright and producer interested in connecting with people passionate about their craft. I specialize in historical drama based on true stories and with strong roles for women. (There's a lot of forgotten, yet compelling, history out there that deserves to be resurrected!) My play, THE WISDOM OF SERPENTS, a finalist for the 2009 Jane Chambers Award, had a choral performance at Loyola University Chicago and was finally published this year, while my latest piece, THE MARBLE MUSE, had its first staged reading this summer at Greenhouse Theater Center.
