Hay Mike welcome to the site. I am a former 93P20Q2 (aircraft dispatcher, life support qualified). I did 5 yrs active Army, stationed at Edwards AFB, working Army Flight Test. Then got recruited by LAPD, and left Active Duty and went ito the Army Guard as NCOIC of Flight ops at Los Alimatos. Then to Avn BDE as an NCOIC of A2C2. Later I transfered to the Air Guard as a C-130E Flight engineer (one tour Iraq/Afganistan). I now have a small prop/wardrobe company Aviation, Military and Police Movie Props (ampmovieprops.com). Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.
Ah, I remember the days of loading Photosonic high speed cameras onto Cheyenne helicopters at five in the morning with the props spinning above my head, trying to get perfect settings and tie securing wires with a combined wind chill factor that made it difficult to even think. This was done on Hearst Estate land in Hunter Liggitt. Temporary duty with no previous training on the gear...but plenty of down time playing with the Arri's and watching Shaft in the makeshift theater... If the power went out it was usually because someone was drunk and drove into a power pole in the hills.....never got to see the whole movie....
