Composing : Hey everyone by Jamie Phillip Langlois

Jamie Phillip Langlois

Hey everyone

I am actually not going to post about how good I am or anything. I am just going to ask how everyone is. It is a small world and I may cross your path along the way and it would be nice to say.....'hey, I know him/her'. So, anything new? Any projects you are working on?

Jamie Phillip Langlois

No one gonna touch this one eh? Well, can someone please tell me why the piano riff from the excorsist movie makes my soul scream?

Samuel Estes

Thanks Jamie for actively going nice! Such a rare thing in this industry. Just makes me love the community here more! We are working on a lot of cool projects, can't wait to share them with the community over the next year or two. What about you?

Jamie Phillip Langlois

Hey Brandi:) I actually just supplied a song for my first ever short film(well first ever anything)but I am pretty happy it is going to be in 26 film festivals world wide........super stoked!!!!!! I am not really new to song writing but I am new to supplying my songs for the TV and film industry. I sense a lot of competition and negativity coming from other composers. Do you have any advice you can give me on well.......anything to do with the industry?

Jamie Phillip Langlois

Thanks Brandi. Those are pearls of wisdom:) and Samuel, I cannot wait to hear about your projects!

Johannes Kern

Hey Brandi, "scoring a feature film and a short film" is "not much"? - Hopefully well paid. ;-) And congratulation Jamie on scoring your first short. My first short is still so vivic in my memory - such a great experience (under pressure), but I have been in contact since then and really got friends with the people involved. Right now I am quite positiv, because it has been the first time that somebody reached out to me and asking for working together, ... normally it's the other way round. ;-)

Johannes Kern

Sure - good thing to do. No, actually someone I messaged with about 2-3 years ago is become a sound desginer and remembered me as a composer, so I found a mail in my inbox a few weeks ago. ;-) On Stage32 I haven't made many real depth conversations and friendships yet I have to say...

Jamie Phillip Langlois

Me too!

Johannes Kern

Haha, great. ;-) Thank you. What is your favorit genre to compose for? For what projects would you immediately apply?

Johannes Kern

Yes, of course you don't want to limit yourself to one genre, but my passion lies into animation. Often there is a strong storyline and you are very flexible with your music and score in many different ways there. - But I would like to do something like a "Bourne" action movie or something with a WWII setting someday as well.

Hi, Jamie. As a long-time dramatist, I focus on creating meaty roles for the ACTRESS in a stage play. In my screenplay-in-progress, the leading role will be a female. There's ghost, too, and she's female. Nice to meet you here!

Jamie Phillip Langlois

You must have an amazing imagination to write screenplays Linda......vision of sorts. The ghost thing is cool too.

LindaAnn Loschiavo

Thank you, Jamie. Nice to meet you and best of luck with your projects!

Michael Aronson

I am doing well. I hope you are too. https://vimeo.com/113658372

Johannes Kern

Just revisited this topic - how are you doing guys? Any projects finished and ready so that I can watch/listen to them? ;-)

Johannes Kern

Doing great - "Guarding of Eden" was successful funded on Indiegogo, so the Videogame is going in the next round of production. ;-) - And the weather in Würzburg is really nice now. :-)
