Wondering how you can boost your visibility on the web?

I started networking on Stage 32, LinkedIn and Facebook -- really networking, I mean --- for almost a year and I'm frequently asked how someone can get more views or better exposure on the web. This question came up during the first Stage 32 webinar I attended and RB's guest recommended a profile on as many sites as possible. Absolutely. Still...if there were just a few more things you could do, wouldn't you want to know about them? Before you get started, think about which sites you WANT to represent you. In the filmmaking or television industry, IMDb sets the standard. Of course, you don't always control the information there and they do have some tight guidelines. You're a musician? Let me count the choices... Looking for the most comprehensive information on filmmaking as well as the most welcoming social network? It's Stage 32 all the way. Are you multitalented and do a wee bit of everything? NeonGrid was made for you! Here's the thing...whatever combination of profile sites you choose, creating a page and letting it sit isn't going to work. YOU need to work on it. Regularly. Change your profile photo every week or 10 days. Update your most recent projects. Add photos, video clips and/or links to other sites. And don't forget to link all of your pages. The advantages to actively managing your profile? People start to notice -- and isn't that the purpose? If YOU have successful profile tips to share, please comment! N~
