Introduce Yourself : Greetings from London! by Sofie Haag

Sofie Haag

Greetings from London!

Morning everyone! As a London-based producer and promoter I specialise in production management and promotion of large scale, high end productions, concerts, festivals and events. I also believe in giving back, so am working with creative businesses and projects to help them grow their businesses, get the word out there about what they do and also look into various income streams to help them fund their creative concepts. Upcoming projects include a US film with a Swedish connection which needs funding, promotion of a rock opera world premiere in London as well as PR for an opera production this summer. We are about the launch a rebranding of my company website in March, with a new DIY Artist Promotion blog platform which I am very excited about. Long term goals and dreams? Selling out Royal Albert Hall and being of service to all the amazing artists and creatives out there who need someone in their corner to go out there an be awesome! Stage 32 is a fantastic way of connecting with like minded people, and I´d love to hear more about you and what you do, so please leave a comment below and speak soon! Cheers, Sofie Producer, Promoter and Founder/MD From Sweden Productions

Great opening post Sofie. I live in London for over 15 years, great city. How easy do you find production there? Is there much red tape?

Sofie Haag

Hi everyone, thanks for connecting and for sharing info about your own projects. This place really IS a creative hub of like minded people! ! Yes Trevor, I find that UK is quite strict when it comes to health and safety and compared to Sweden for instance, UK venues are much stricter also when it re what´s included in the fee etc. You really do hire just the shell and then pay for the light bulbs, cables etc :-) Having said that, I love it in London and it is well worth it once the audience comes through the door :-) What do you do?
