STAGE32 has started a great thing - A network of crazy, imaginative, fun, dynamic people world-wide!! I'm feeling VERY blessed and humbled, reading your stories and profiles!! What incredible talent, huh?! I'm just getting back into acting after a 20-years hiatus (long story there..), and into Voiceover & Narration work! I don't "network" well because much of networking feels ingenuine to me - not real! I related to deep, inspired, open-minded conversations (often over a great beer or a glass of wine)! I hope to get to do some cool stuff like play basketball, snow ski or play piano (rock) for a production - Among my few skills, but I love them! Look forward to connecting with some of you awesome STAGE32 talents!!

welcome to this community, Mitch! Since you mentioned you don't network well, I recommend watching On Stage with RB next Wednesday https://www.stage32.com/blog/On-Stage-With-RB-February-2015-Announced it's free and RB, our CEO and founder here at Stage 32, goes over the best way to use Stage 32 and to network effectively (while still being genuine). I think it'll be perfect for you!

I learned a long time ago there's nothing "normal" about being a creative. But who the hell want's normal? Cheers to you, my friend.

Your attitude is so welcome and amazing for me to hear (or read as it were!). For a long time in the super low budget end of the world I'm in you don't see many people going out of their way to help one another and it's people like you who keep little guys like me going. Feels like we're all alone in this business but really we're all in it together and it's good to hear. Keep on keeping on and thank you for your words.

Hello Mitch. I share your aversion to the traditional "Networking Parties." Just not my cup of tea. Business cards from people you never connect with and when you look at those cards down the road, you ask yourself, "Who the hell are these people?"

Henry, your words are golden - Thank you for that contribution to my wellbeing!! We are each, indeed, wealthy, if we seek to realize our gifts..
Shannon, I'm going to be out of town on auctions all day on Wednesday. When will there be another similar blog soon?!

Nice to see someone feels the same way I do about networking. It can feel in genuine with phony smiles. So lets grin and bear it together!

David, maybe we need to start a "Real People Really Networking" group.. Of course, most people THINK they're "being real"...
