Happy Saturday to everyone! It's a been a long week. Today is writing day. I'm adapting my screenplay TRANSIT OF THE PEARL into a novel. My thriller VIRTUAL WITNESS was in the top 10 of its genre in the 2013 Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Contest and is featured in Bill Boyle's book "The Visual Mindscape of the Screenplay." It's placed in several other contests and has some heat around it currently. I'm also in the midst of rewriting several other scripts. I founded Mia Terra Tours & Retreats and currently offer 2 screenwriting retreats, with more to come.

Thanks, Brandi, and you as well!
Like the approach of adapting your screenplay to a novel, Diana. Seems like more and more writers are taking this approach with their material.

Richard, adapting to the novel form has been an interesting process. I have to keep telling myself that it's okay to write about my characters' inner thoughts and it's okay to indulge in description. :) I've found it beneficial for the screenplay, in that it's helping me strengthen the story spine and understand my characters better.
I would imagine it's a strange but exhilarating journey, Diana. Almost a reverse engineering exercise in a way.

I think that process would be so mind expanding. Way to flex those creative muscles!

Wow. That's a chore for sure. I did my first screenplay from my published book and that was a mind bender! Great to hear about working those neurons and receptors!
