Hi Xan, what are you interested in working on?

If we can get one going, I'm in.

depending on circumstances I might be willing to take the train down.

I can form a meetup. Possibly for next month or towards the end of this month. Does that work? And are weekends better or weekdays after work?

weekends are better and spring for me would be better.

Would a summer meetup be better for anybody else but me?

The further out it is, the harder it is for me to definitely commit, but right now I'm open for the summer. (And parts of Spring). Depending on the week, either weekends or weeknights are good.

My schedule looks pretty good from now until April 1, 2015. -Easter- then after April 6, 2015 is fine.

Where would a good meetup place be? Maybe Studio 36 on west 36th between 5th and 6th.

I think Studio 36 would be good once we have a group that would want to meet maybe once a month or every other month, since they rent rooms by the hour? So maybe we should start out at a restaurant/bar somewhere in midtown? Thoughts?

Does anyone know of a meet up happening out on Long Island? Given that I have a car without the parking issues you face, my range is a bit less limited. help?

If anyone gets an invite to see a panel with RB definitely go for it. The one on Monday was great, I'm sure there were plenty stage32 members there as well but for those who weren't definitely hop on the next one. Really glad to be part of this community.

Monique, that works for me and encourages me to get work done when I'm on deadline to not disappoint others. Yes, I'm entirely guilt driven.

I would love to come if it can be June 13 or 14. I have to be on W 54th St from 1:00-5:00 both days, but am otherwise free. :)

Did you create a meetup event in the meetups section on here yet? People may look there before seeing this?

I agree with Abigal - we built out the new Meetups section to make this easier for everyone :) there's lots of great photos of other meetups there, too!

This is the first I've seen of an attempt for an off-the-mainstreet meet-up plan. I never see such posted in the Meetup listing. Perhaps this needs to be reorganized in terms of standing meet groups instead of "events?"

If anyone would like to create a meetup that would be great! When I get the chance, I'll be able to create one. Are we all in on an agreement on the date, time, and location of this meetup?

Monique, I know of at least one other person who might be amenable. It will require some coordination so options would be a good idea, especially for times/dates.

I know the 10th is out for Jordan. I can do any days but Monday, and sometimes, Tuesday. Right now I'm in the middle of a major rewrite of my last novel, but I'll work around that.

I take that back... I shouldn't speak for Jordan Yanco. This may just be the day he'd planned for a metope.

Does the week of the 14th work for anyone?

Wed, Thurs, and Friday. Monday in a pinch, but Tuesday is out. (17th, 18th, and 19th are clear... 15th late in the day... like after 4pm (can't miss tai chi class).

June 15, 17, or 19 works for me.

Location is our only issue.

I don't live in New York so I'm only there June 12-15, I will be at Luigi's on the 12th around noon if anyone wants to join, there can be more than one meetup, but sadly my time in New York is limited. I would love to be able to meet.

Right now my schedule is pretty flexible during the week. I work weekends, unless we did an 8:00pm or 9:00pm meet time. I would like to meet with u too.

So how many are coming to Luigi's for lunch on June 12th? It's only a week away!

My time has opened up so I should be okay with it. I know Jordan is working a documentary so I don't know how involved he'll be in post-production. I'm waiting for his text back (just retested him.)

We need a time for the 12th. Suggestions? Jordan said he only needs to know the time.

I know I sound a little passive here, but it's only because my schedule is the most flexible. Those with limits need to post when they might be free....or cheap. Whatever.

Where in NYC IS Luigi's located?

Luigi's is a block south of Central Park off 57th Street by the southwest corner of Central Park. Driving is a very bad idea in that neighborhood. If memory serves, it's not far from the CBS Broadcast Center on W. 57th Street.

I just created a meetup for Luigi's on the 12th. As far as I know reservations are not required so I have not made any. Xan if you feel we need to call them then please do.

Reservations are almost NEVER required for a lunch. You might not be able to get in but reservations? Although, I recall my father in law having to make reservations for biz lunches for PR clients. Nahhhh I'll ask him though.

Omg. There's only 2 days to go. Is there anyone else aside from the 3 of us for Friday? If not it's ok. Gives us a chance to talk about things in more detail I guess. I don't believe we need reservations. What is the attire? Dressy, casual . . . ?

Xan, as far as I know, it will still be you, Jordan, and I. I hate using that "I." It just sounds awkward. I should give you a head's up because I MIGHT be a few minutes or something late because I'm coming from the Five Towns in south Nassau and I have one of my granddaughters graduating from kindergarten. Of course I'll bore you with video such as I can get on my iPhone. But one way or another, I'll be there.

And I will be there too. If I'm late then I had a luggage problem.
