Filmmaking / Directing : The Face a coming of age drama ready for pitch meetings by Jesse Heiman

Hey good Monday everyone hope you had an amazing weekend and are enjoying daylight savings and longer magic hours :). My friend and I have finished a script recently that's called The Face its a coming of age dramedy about a teen who copes with her mothers death by talking to birds in a town where they crop dust which is harmful to birds. So it becomes both a coming of age and environmental issues film cause she tries to fight to save the birds against the small town politics and even her own dad who is struggling to raise her on his own. The birds communicate to her by helping her out in funny situations and then at the end there's this amazing moment where the birds form the shape of her dead mothers face in front of everyone and the town sees she's not crazy. kind of a girls version of Field of dreams. Anyway we are trying to get some pitch meetings set up we don't know where to get started or what kind of studio to target. I think we want to shoot with some name actors but have the main star be an unknown they help grow kind of like in the story.
