Hello, I'm moving into production on a three minute short and need a couple guys (30s -40s) to take on some pretty intense roles. I also need a young toddler (15 months or so). This job is paid. May I suggest that you mention where you are shooting? Unless you will be paying for transportation and lodging I'm thinking actors not in your area may be hesitant. On the other hand actors in your area will be very interested.

Agreed D Marcus. Forgot that bit. However, when I last posted that it's in Edmonton I got replies from people in Toronto, Vancouver, and Europe. Locale doesn't matter. And I know everybody in Edmonton and I also tried Calgary. This is simply a tough sell. I did also post twice in the jobs section. This is not my first experience with this but I'm not here to brag or dole out remarks.

It's more like, I say where the location is and I still get replies from abroad. Just a thought for you.
And, Nicole and everybody else who's listening... I'm looking for actors, not help or snobbish advice. And yes, if the right actor with a great reel and interest comes to me, travel and accommodation is not out of the question. And, I have way more experience than you are all perceiving. So enough with the snark, all of you.
My intent was not be snarky or snobbish. I offered what I intended to be genuine, thoughtful advice. I'm sorry you took it as perceiving you have less experience than you do. I won't offer any more advice to you. Again, I apologize.
