Vinyl's

Hi all, After a year of hiatus (Cancer has a way of putting projects on hold) I am ready to put a script I own back into development. I already have a small team put together but now am looking for crew. (I will be posting this in the job section when the project gets more defined.) My question to you all is, As the head of the project what should be my next steps in development. I feel I am almost in preproduction but think I am missing a few steps. So I have a small crew (director, DOP, and a producer) Who should I hire next or and should I shoot a proof of concept trailer To entice talent to sign on to the project. From here on out it is all new to me and I do not want to misstep if I can avoid it. Thanks for all your help and advice. < https://www.facebook.com/vinylsmovie?ref=hl >

I think you should look for your Production designer next, I wouldn't shoot a trailer in order to attract talent, I would do that in order to get financing. The script by itself should be able to attract the talent. Good luck with the project.

Thanks for the advice. The project is moving faster that I ever thought it would and I am now in uncharted waters. Its all great though and loving every minute of it.

So could you detail the moving faster part?

In the last week i have gotten interest in investors wanting to see a trailer. With this interest comes a producer who is interested in joining the creative team. (makes sense ) He and his team want to shoot the trailer in a month, where I thought I may be 2 months out or more. But IF I have people who want to see this happen sooner than my time line, i will make it happen. With things speeding up I want to make sure I have all my problems thought out. I know there will be mistakes but I want to minimize them to a minimum.
