Filmmaking / Directing : Old School Vampire Film Seeking Investors by Curtis James Coffey

A screenplay of mine has been picked up by an independent producer/director. He has investors that will put up money - but only after I come up with the initial investment. They'll bring in the second monies, but not the first. And yes, this is a legit person with actual credits on imdb. So, while I've been seeking investors in my area, I figured I'd post here and see if I can drum up any. He says we can get started if I raise as little as $100k...but I'm an overachiever and would ideally like to raise as much as $500k. "Vampyre" is an old school take on the vampire genre. These things don't sparkle. They're evil and they're scary. It follows an aging hunter that tracks the vampire that killed his family some 30 years ago to a small town. When things go wrong, he unwillingly takes on a young female protege. My script is all about character development and strong, well rounded WOMEN, especially. We're looking to shoot in either the Chicago area or Lousiana for tax purposes.
