Last month I said I had received word that "Yesbar," a comedy club in Scotland, wanted to perform one of my comedy sketches. The club owner described my sketch as a "wee belter," I think that's a Scottish- Gaelic phrase that means "good." I said this made me happy because Yesbar is advertised as featuring sketches once a month (filmed) from among the "UK's best comedy writers." The audience votes on the sketches they like the best. The show was held today in Glasgow, Scotland, and allowing for the eight hour time difference, I was just informed my sketch, out of the 10 skits performed, came in a close second place. This means the segment will likely be posted on Youtube and other sites. It should be a hoot (hoot-man) to see three performers in their thick Scottish brogues (accents) doing my bit.
