Random question for all of you, especially my fellow animators and editors...what are your tricks to the long hours we sometimes have to go through. I'm always filling up with gallons of coffee and caffeine but I'm curious what other ways you may have discovered. I'm on the tale end of day 2.5 and I'm dragging.

Ugh, yes, as someone who has spent 14 hours in front of a computer editing, with only breaks for food coffee and bathroom breaks, it can really take a toll on your body and energy. I would say regular breaks with some pushups, situps and jumping jacks is the best way to keep the energy up. Once an hour, 5-7 minutes of physical activity. Another trick is that I stop every few hours and clean for about 15 minutes. http://ow.ly/LBmVR

Have you tried, meditation? (Like a Power Nap) :)
Hey guys, So my routine of this has been as follows now, every hour taking a 5 minute break with light work out, pushups, abs, etc. Making sure to eat lots of fiber and water throughout the day. Now that the weather is good I make sure to set about 1 to 2 hours a day for a run, where I can listen to a script or music for editing inspiration and focus on what I'm working on again with a clearer head outside of the "Computer Cave". Not only do the endorphins give me a shot of adrenaline for the body, it gives me a chance to rethink what I'm working on. Finally Power naps whenever that magic render button is clicked! Trying to avoid Caffeine now as much as possible to avoid the headaches and crash that comes with it. Thanks so much for the suggestions everyone! -Ray
