Intriguing if this is the Biblical figure who was the mentor of Abraham.

Yes, known for his longevity - the story revolves around a young woman looking for a cure for progeria (the premature ageing disease), and indirectly creating a gene which future generations use to prolong their natural lifespan, but nature finds a balance and the side-effects which develop over time bring humanity to the verge of extinction. An agent is sent back from the future to stop her, he kidnaps her and a detective is set the task of finding her, and the truth. It sounds very exciting! :-)

Sounds like DeMille's silent version of the 10 Commandments, where he inter-mixed biblical images in a modern story of the times :)

Trailers are awesome!! Trying to encapsulate the film in a few minutes without giving it all away. We just had to do that for our film. If you're curious, or feel like giving some feedback, you can find it here: http://ow.ly/LBmVR

Well, ours is a book trailer, so no film as yet - but if anyone is interested... ;-) Joseph, I haven't seen De Mille's silent movie, but it sounds interesting!

Thanks for sharing that Mike! Very stylish, I like the Newton's Cradle motif, it gives a feeling of relentless inevitability, and suggests that the knock-on effect and the links between cause and effect aren't necessarily visible on the surface (a butterfly flaps its wings over here....damn, no italics...). The enigmatic man at the desk watching, who presumably set it in motion, comes across as a powerful shadowy figure playing the other characters like an executive toy - very sinister, great concept! I found the rapid changes of scene and no dialogue a little bewildering (maybe include some longer cuts to add variety to the pace - perhaps longer sections with the desk toy interspersed with quick bursts of action, building up the pace gradually, to give more of a sense of the contrasting stillness of the man compared to the tumultuous events the others are going through?). It works very well as a teaser trailer, very intriguing, and it looks like a thrilling plot! :-)

I thought the trailer was very intriguing - I definitely want to know what is going on! I did think that perhaps the very fast speed of the flickering images were a little disconcerting (the speed rather than the content). Not knowing the story, I wonder if the reveal that someone dies is giving a little too much away? It's certainly something I am very aware of as I work on our trailer script. Your trailer has hooked me enough to want to see the film :-)
