Hi everyone. Even though I am not exactly new here on Stage 32, I never made myself known to the other members here (with a few exceptions), so I will make this post my official introduction to my fellow Stage 32 members. So here it goes: My name is Jack Hornbeck and I am a formerly a homeless man now living in subsidized housing in Downtown Los Angeles. Back In 2011, while I was still homeless a very kindhearted man gave me a small point-and-shoot camera. From that I found that I have a passion for photography now. I am not a professional, not yet. I do not have a resume, but I want to get some experience as a camera man. I would, if necessary, work for free. I do not have my own transportation, but I can get around the L.A. area by Metro Rail and bus. I do have a monthly bus pass. My main dream right now is to somehow get a DSLR camera so that I can take better photos: Here is my Flickr page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/jackhornbeck/ I am slowly putting one foot in front of the other to somehow advance myself in the fields of photography and film making. Feel free to hit-me-up for a Network Request. -Jack
Hi Jack! Just checked out your Flickr. The pictures look AMAZING! My favorite would be the ones of the wild life (birds and bees). Seems like you've been to a lot of interesting places in LA. Keep up the good work!
Thanks. That really put a smile on my face. I sent you a Network Request. :-)
Wonderful images, Jack! Rich, sharp images and lots of character too. I hope you do get a DSLR for you to continue your journey as well. Great work!
