Success Stories: APR'22 The truth _movie

Well, it's not often I feel humbled but the reaction of the two screenings of The Truth last night was amazing. And Matt Hickinbottom and myself would like to thank everyone who came and supported us. Everyone hopes that people will like what you do but to get the reaction we did was truly humbling (didn't stop me talking though!) I had people who were genuinely touched by some of the issues that were quietly raised in the film, (a couple who actually told me that it has helped them, which is an unexpected bonus) and to see everyone's shocked faces at the end when we revealed the final Truth was wonderful for me personally as a writer. GOTCHA! People were buzzing about Matt Hickinbottoms brilliant music (besides everything else he did!) and they could not speak highly enough of the performances of the wonderful acting talent on show. This was a film made in Birmingham by Birmingham people and it showed the amazing talent we have here if only some people would take a look and not just bypass Birmingham on the motorway. (Birmingham is that HUGE city next to Spaghetti Junction off the M6!)... So again THANK YOU to everyone who came and everyone who helped in any way to get it made. Oh, and we raised some very nice money for a wonderful theatrical group, The Wow Group, who were brilliant in our film so again thanks for everyone who generously dipped in their pockets...Cheers everyone.
