So, I went to my first comic book convention this past weekend and had an absolute blast - my main purpose for going was to attend a Q&A with Kevin Smith, one of my faves when it comes to screenwriting and filmmaking. Listening to him is always uplifting; he's funny, insightful, and (believe it or not) pretty inspirational. This year I've gotten to interact with a couple of folks who have been influential to me, Dan Aykroyd was also one. They say don't meet your heroes, but oh man - both experiences were so great. Who influences you the most and have you had the chance to 'talk shop' with any of them? Better yet, would your nerves even allow you to? ;)

Hi Ken - I didn't get to talk to Kevin personally, the event was super crowded and the queue to ask a question was a mile long. But leave it to me to feel like listening to him talk was like being in church! Bill Murray is definitely a favorite of mine, I love his work and the fact that he seems to get more awesome as the years go by. And I think I need to hear these stories... lol
