Filmmaking / Directing : Who Knows Best? by Bobby Nickson

As I enter into the world of filmmaking I have asked myself this question many time as I develop projects to produce. Who knows best? Me as the visionary or my audition the ones I am creating for. As I create projects and write material this is always my question and it helps me decide on many different things; such as a particular line to write in my script; the subject matter and content. So I wondering what you guys think about who knows best.
