Introduce Yourself : HOMELESSNESS is just PART of my story! by Cali Gilbert

As humans we ALL have stories of the paths we chose, or were forced to take based on circumstance. For me, that path included two stints of homelessness back in 2012 and 2013. Little did I know at the time, those situations shaped me for who I was TRULY meant to be. You see, back in the day I thought I was living the dream (at least the dream everyone ELSE had for me). I had the BIG TITLE job, the financial security, the friends, everything that is somehow deemed to make you happy. There was only ONE problem. I was miserable. I was living someone else's dream, not MY OWN. Some years back I decided to give that life UP and follow my heart to the life I wanted to live. You see, I'M AN ARTIST, and now I can say that with PRIDE. Before, it was merely a whisper. I'm a writer, an award-winning photographer and multiple bestselling author. I'm in total BLISS when I'm creating, and what's even better, is when I can support others in creating their ideal lives. After successfully publishing six books, four of which are bestsellers, I am now working on #7 entitled PEARL which is due out in November. I'm also working on writing/directing my first short film entitled SAVE ME SAUSALITO. My head is overflowing with creative projects with about a dozen ideas for books and films. My soul led me to Los Angeles two years ago, and despite not knowing WHY, I listened. It was the best decision I ever made. I have connected with a group of kindred spirits, and grateful to RB and the Stage32 family for their continued guidance and support.
