Introduce Yourself : Work in Progress by Remedy

Good Day People… My name is Remedy and I've been writing since I was 13 years old. I'm an award winning Spoken Word Artist, I have a ebook in stores for teenage girls to assist them with a few relationship dos and don'ts, and I'm six classes from obtaining my BA in Creative Writing for Entertainment through Full Sail University. Five years ago I was caught in the middle of a dramatic situation that I thought would make a great movie and from that moment I've been learning and slowly writing scripts. I am a walking vault of ideas and recently decided to put a few of them in treatments to send out… Now I don't know what the process is for a woman who does not have the fund to create her movies, I don't know what the process is for getting a writing job that I can not only enjoy but earn a living from, but if I don't put myself out there I'll never know. I've had a few minutes in front of the camera as well. I've been in a Jackson Hewitt commercial and I got a small part in an independent film. I played Big Frank a Supervisor who hired and fired the main character (John Savage) in the Black Dove movie. I really enjoyed it and hopefully I'll get another opportunity to play a meaningful role in a film with a message… I linked up with a Director and Screenwriter (Lee Zellars) in my home town who is going to take a short story I wrote and shoot it as a feature film in May of 2016. I'm really excited to be a student of the art and I'm praying one day I'll see my name scroll up that big screen in front of millions of viewers with created and written by Remedy listed…. until then my plan is to learn as much as I can and surround myself with like minded people who don't mind sharing a few tips… Hello Stage 32, my name is Remedy and I'm a Writer… What's your superpower?
