Introduce Yourself : Navy Vet/Aspiring Screenwirter by Robert Prevost

Hello everyone, I joined a few weeks ago and have enjoyed reading the various posts inside the regular emails fro Stage32. I haven't really introduced myself or become involved in the social side of the site, but I figured this was a good opportunity to start. I'm an aspiring screenwriter/filmmaker who's coming in late to the game at the age of thirty. I'm almost finished with my first screenplay and I've already learned a lot. It's probably not good enough to show to anyone, but maybe after a few more, I'll feel comfortable sending one out. I'm interested in becoming a better writer and would love to hear any tips or advice that you might have to become a better writer.
