Greetings: My name is Paul Todd Abramson. You're probably wondering why I call myself The Little Fox and Isaac. It is a simple way for people to remember my name (Paul - Little, Todd - Fox, Abram's son - Isaac). At 6' 3", I am definitely not little. As a native Los Angelino, I have always had a passion for the movie biz with an emphasis on animation. Walt Disney was the greatest filmmaker ever. He made the movies I wanted to make. I often envisioned myself as being the person showing up at the film festivals with the cartoons. Sadly, I can't draw to save my life. But I do write. I went to film school and learned how to run film - not tape or anything digital - through a film camera. I learned to edit on a Moviola. I later learned to edit on Avid. Many times when beginning a screenplay I ask myself, "Where are the toys?" "Is this movie toyific?" "Will there be action figures and Happy Meals?" "Will the characters ever walk around amusement parks?" This is an important question to ask. I urge everybody to not neglect their ancillary markets. I like movies that live in people's hearts for many years. I don't like movies that have to be completely altered before they hit broadcast television. Is your movie toyific? I asked this question to a group of young independent filmmakers. They had no idea what I meant by "toys".
