Had a read Steven and I really enjoyed it. If you were planning on passing it to someone else to shoot I'd say the pages are a little dense. As well as that, it doesn't really follow a structure (with the inciting incident happening pretty late) but that can work with a short, and I reckon this would. Are you planning on shooting it?

... with a local filmmaker by mid next year. I'll put this one forward. Could easily be filmed in the local area, though casting kids might be a challenge.
Good to hear Steven! One of my early feature scripts was actually about a father/son journey into the Queensland outback, but that's still in development at the moment. Good luck with the shoot.
