"Appraising the Dead" - a supernatural horror feature I wrote with my brother - was just named a Quarterfinalist in the Scriptapalooza screenplay competition. My bro toiled with me for well over a year, developing a concept that began as a tagline ("A building with 200 rooms. None of them safe.") and chewed through numerous titles ("GHOST FIGHT"/"BASEMENT TERROR"). I sold a feature after my Semifinalist placement in Scriptapalooza in 2013, so the competition has been a good luck charm in the past. I can't suggest too many competitions out there, but Scriptapalooza is always worth the entry fee. I'm truly overcome with appreciation.
