Film Festival Fun

Please take the time to read the first paragraph. Then if you chose, the rest of the story: I just wrapped my first and probably last film and my wife is so badly affected with Alzheimer's she is not aware of it. She is in a home with others like her who live in the moment,so I thought what a great chance to enhance their lives, if even a little while promoting yourself as well: Did I get your interest? Is so read on I could use the guidance. How about setting up a film festival for Anaheim Hills of Orange County. They would be all shorts to keep it simple and have a $10 entry fee. Hopefully we could get some of the Hollywood, middle shots (get it) to come and judge. that is a win/win for everyone. we keep the criteria at action adventure as to keep the peeps stimulated. Now if I am off base, then no need to respond, I If you think it viable let's set something up for next spring.

Gary - first of all, I'm so very sorry to hear about your wife. I too have history of dealing with the effects of that horrible illness on loved ones. You have my sympathies. Your festival idea isn't something I can take part in as I live abroad... but if it's something you really want to do, I wish you all the best. One bit of advice... I wouldn't limit the festival to action only... action, on a low budget, is very hard to pull off and can often be less than compelling. Just look for good work and build a team that can come up with some sponsorship and some cool venues to screen in. I wish you all the best.
