Did a few jobs on Stage 32, I ended with 10 shorts, 2 web series, 9 community plays, and one award on my resume. Went to an agency, he liked my resume but said I needed more. Just did another film last Sunday but haven't have the name of it yet. It was the first project I did in a month because nobody replied back to my cover letter despite my achievement since my last production. I'm asking, please. This was the only agency who wanted to help me and I really wanted help from any of you. I don't see too many jobs in L.A. in the site lately. I'm asking if you have any project if its a short film, a skit, a webisode, or whatever is possible. Have anyone ever helped you if you were in a acting drought and now have the capabilities to help one another. I would be extremely grateful. Please and thank you.
Look on Craigslist under the jobs/tv film category. There must be some online casting resources in the LA area, but being an Easterner, I wouldn't know of them.
I did so but some of them haven't replied to my cover letter
I would expect that no reply means not interested. For every job cast or crew, there will be dozens if not more posting for it, you can't expect a courtesy reply,
Nathan the bulk of the jobs out there these days are on Actors Access (non commercial) and LA Casting (commercial with some non commercial) and Cazt (non commercial). I audition 3 or 4 times a week off those sites. Plus those I get from my agent (getting repped is another discussion). I have a free video that teaches all about how to self submit for jobs on those sites. Screen capture vid plus live footage from my Actor Basics event. Shows you how to self submit to get auditions. Get it on my site at actorbasics.com by putting in your email. You'll also get a follow up series of vids after that, one a day for a week or more on various newbie actor topics. But these initial vids I give away, over 30 minutes, show exactly what you are looking for- the sites to be on and how to self submit on them for jobs. Hope this helps. Chris
