Introduce Yourself : Pre-to-Post production experience looking to move to writer/producer/director position by Patrick Howard

Philo Ant - Story-teller Hello world... I am a blessed middle-aged college student, learning the art and artistry of animated story-telling. I have earned a degree in RTVF, and am chasing a second one in 'Arts and Technology' at the University of Texas at Dallas. - I have lots of experience in video production, from craft service to 2nd unit director, - from the lowliest cable wrapping 'go-fer' to production manager. - I have experienced the boom and bust of free-lance production service specialist, and the monotony of the regular corporate video editor jobs. - I am ready to take my skills and experience to the next level. - I graduate next spring, and will be looking to 'shop' some feature-length animated scripts. - Pardon the shameless plug, but I have one that is PURE GOLD (95% complete). As well as it's clever sequel (70%). - I am interested in selling them, of course. But I would be most interested in parlaying them into a position that will allow me to learn from a 'bona-fide' - 'honest-to-goodness' - working studio director. - With the goal of moving into the director's seat myself. - I have paid CLOSE attention to my studies and have a firm grasp on every aspect of the animation workflow. (Maybe not exceptionally skilled at every position, but I have a clear understanding of what exceptionally skilled looks like at every position.) - To that end, if you are a studio exec, looking for a subject, I would like to invite you to review a sample of my creative writing, (link below).
