I know that as a filmmaker and as an individual you always have to +1 and reinvent yourself, but one of my concerns is for example master and disciple relationship or finding strength in vulnerability are some of the themes I want to convey in my movies. My sort of worry is if I make a couple of movies with theses themes will I loose audiences interests?

If its conveyed to the audience in the right way then I cant see you having many issues. But like any movie it may not appeal to everyone.
