Screenwriting : Sending back a release form by Phil Parker

Sending back a release form

This is a bit of a tech question - when you are sent a release form as a pdf, you print it, sign it and then rescan the pages to send back. Is there a way to turn those individually scanned pages back into one pdf form to send to the producer/ company?

You need Acrobat pro or you can do it word but it's a pain the --- (you have to insert each page as an image and then save it as a pdf.) You can probably get a free trial of pro or just pay for a month of it if you're not going to use it often.

Ah ha, thanks heaps Laurie!

I usually send the PDF to a free online conversion site to .Doc format. Just Google them. I open the file in OpenOffice (free office suite), then I create a signature image using my mouse in some drawing program (Microsoft Paint comes with Windows). Insert the image to the appropriate spot. Export the file back to PDF using OpenOffice. Voila, done.

Hi Phillip. :) Luckily, I have this printer that is also a scanner. It scans multiple page documents, in page order, as a singular pdf onto a USB, or to a network folder or to email. It's great. Next time you're in the market for a new printer take a look at HP (Hewlett-Packard) products. :)
