Hi Joe. Some good fluid motions there. Was that hand animated? Picture is nice and crisp and the sound quality high. The promo says 2014 at the end btw so might need updating. Have you progressed the series?

Hi Steve - Thanks for the feedback, There are actually seven short episodes at: http://www.livefromevil.com/episodes/ I'm using "Muvizu" software to animate. It's very simple. There are some limitations, but the pricing and features are definitely worth a look They have a free version you can test drive first. For my show, the first 5 episodes are voiced by me, then I've added some other talented voice actors for episodes 6 and 7. Aiming to put a reel together to shop the concept around. Cheers, Joe J Thomas

Muvizu. Just checked it out. Thanks for the info. We are on a similar trail then. Episode by episode I'm building up to a feature. En route the proof of concept / Sizzle reels improve after each episode. I think it's wise to get in voice talent. I've used upwork for female actresses, but didn't get on with the men (they couldn't even follow direction for the application - or perhaps my budget was too small for them). I'm hoping to hire some male voice actors here in the near future. Did you source your male voice talent on here?

Cool - would be interested in seeing your animation. I'm a full-time voice actor, so I was able to cast people directly from my connections. Casting's a tough job. Definitely something I'll want to have someone else do if I get this to a feature or series! ... and budget is an issue for sure. As they say "You get what you pay for". There are some that will help if they believe in the vision, or for a cut of the future pie.

Agreed on all points. Also have you tried coaching a "performance" out of non actors for your voice acting? I have. It's a real challenge! If you are a few minutes, here is my latest episode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvgIYHyLiIw&index=14&list=PL7CED8E0AE0E9...

Liked it, Steve. Very Machinima. What software/engine are you using? As for non-actors, nope... Wouldn't even attempt it!
Many thanks Joe. I animate in Carrara, using poser compatible figures from the DAZ studio website, then I render out with Octane which is an unbiased render engine. re: non-actors. Worked with another one again today. Not perfect by any means, but he very graciously said a number of one-off lines. (Bit parts). I've also become adept at tweaking both pitch and timing intra-word to assist with getting the performance I have in my head. Not perfect but it helps keep costs down. :)

Adapt, Adopt, and Improve! Gotta do what you can to get your art out there. I'll have to look into your toolset. Was thinking of going to Maya next... Best of luck with your toons! Joe

Hey Joe, this is Shannon from the Stage 32 team. I just wanted to let you know I moved your post from Animation to Your Stage, as it fits much better there. Let me know if you have any questions, and all the best to you!
Thank you Shannon - I could see how it would fit either location...
