Greetings Everyone, I'm Delonda!! I'm not really new, but I haven't been active on here in awhile. I just wanted to introduce myself. I haven't done any acting, but I'm very interested in doing so!!....Do anyone have any tips on how to get started? I would really appreciate any tips and advice....Thanks in advance! Hi Delonda! I am also just starting out and it is not an easy process. But I know it will be well worth it! Building a resume is the first step. If you don't have experience to put on it, then get training so people know you're serious. Workshops, acting classes, and independent student films are all great places to start. You will also need headshots from a professional photographer and have them printed professionally as well. Don't make the mistake I did by getting them printed at Walmart! Ha. In order to find these places go to the resource tab of http://peoplestore.net. and they have a list of reputable companies. Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi Delonda! I didn't know where to begin and there's lots of avenues.... what worked for me was persistence! I went to every and all auditions I was interested in head on. Landed roles and got experience just going for it. I'd go to workshops and classes to really learn and try new things on the side. (don't sell yourself short by doing work your not comfortable with or screenplays you don't find valuable to yourself) Workshops are a great place to gain skills and get comfortable with yourself... one can always keep growing and learning!
