https://readthrough.com/ It essentially gives the opportunity to set up online table reads, be it contacting it's registered actors (mostly amateur, but some are quite talented.) The lines of each role are read individually, be it by one of the afore mentioned actors (you have to send a request via the site, and await their response, but you can send multiple requests at once,) record voices yourself, or use the sites bots. The bots have a variety of voices and tones, but are often clunky, and, well...robotic. But they're useful for smaller roles or to keep roles warm while you await to hear back. But using the actors is far more useful and fun. It doesn't have a ton of traffic or marketing, and per the developer will ultimately end up a plug in for a venture called Writers Duet, a screenwriting software geared toward collaborations, but as is, it's a Nobel and useful concept to bring together writers and actors, and beneficial to both.
interesting concept
Thanks for sharing! Was just discussing table reads with an actor who was having a hard time finding people to read with him.
Thank for this. I will check out the site.
