I am new to Stage 32! My TV drama pilot just made the finals in the 2015 Creative World Awards Competition, which was pretty exciting for me. I am an older guy, retired from a government position that centered on writing point papers, assessments, intelligence reports, and all sorts of other documents and studies. I love writing and have "dabbled" in screenwriting for two decades. I am currently writing a TV series (one-hour drama), and have written two feature-length film scripts. They all made various contest semi-finals, which pleases me, but I really want to get a credit for a produced script. Now that I am no longer working, I will dive into screenwriting with a vengeance and am very willing to team-author something. I wish all Stage32 users great success. (BTW, one of my sons got a second Masters in TV, Film, and Videogame Scoring at the Berklee School of Music, so I am going to point him to Stage32 also! He's a terrific composer.)
Hey Dennis, this is Beth from the Stage 32 team. I just wanted to let you know I moved your post from Screenwriting to Introduce Yourself, as it fits much better there. Let me know if you have any questions, and all the best to you!
He Dennis, glad to learn you're expanding your creative writing talents from government work. =) I'm Dar Curcio-Elsbury, similarly an older - but young at heart - screenwriter.
Thanks for the responses!! Jim, making a finalist cut is impressive no matter what, and trust me, there aren't prouction companies beating down my door...yet! :) Dar, great to meet a fellow young-at-heart screenwriter. We're not old, just nicely-aged and well-experienced. Keep in touch, all.
Welcome to Stage 32, Dennis!
