Good morning, I am Stephen James, a voice actor and coach based in Bilox, MS., and working out of New Orleans, LA. I am also Founder and Executive Director of The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation, a not-for-profit organization which provides affordable education and opportunities for performers, now in its seventh year. Thanks for getting in touch, Brian! I see we have a common career thread also, as my professional career was in PR and Marketing Communications for 40 yrs. With regard to developing your voice-over career, my initial advice would be to go to as many workshops as you can, and to "do stuff" in order to gain as much experience as you can. Hello! You are the only other person appearing on my page that has ties to New Orleans, so I just thought I'd touch base and say hello. Thank you for your work in Mississippi and Louisiana, it's great to meet someone that founded/directs such a great foundation. :) Are you currently staying in New Orleans or do you commute?

I really love what I do to and the people of the performing community in the region. You are most kind. I lived in New Orleans for some years (after Katrina) and moved to Biloxi, MS. a couple of years ago. Although I have a home studio/office/classroom in Biloxi, much of my work is in New Orleans so I tend to commute there two or three days a week. Best, S.
