Hi all, My name is Marjorie Glantz. I'm an American in Madrid and have been here for... a long time!!! I started out writing film scripts, but my life has moved towards THEATER!!! I am presently sort of "in charge" of Wednesday nights - Micro Theater in English at a small, alternative theater (El Escondite) here in Madrid. I am working with a producer to get my play BACKSTAGE (a one-act play) produced. We are looking for co-producers as well as collaborators and partners from other European countries. Since I write in English and then translate into Spanish - the idea of a multi-European project is very attractive. I look forward to meeting anyone who might be interested in collaborating. Marjorie - wow, you've been a Stage 32er since September 2011! Incredible, you are one of the originals! We have a great group in and around Madrid - I'd definitely recommend getting more active in the conversations in the Stage 32 lounge so people will get to know you and you can find the collaborators you are looking for for BACKSTAGE. You know, I quit my day job so that I would have more time to write, but trying to get a play produced and directing and producing short plays (Micro Theater) has been all time consuming. I will check out the Lounge discussions and thanks for the comments. Never saw The Pied Pipers of the Lower East Side... when was it here (in Madrid that is)?
