Hi everyone, I've been involved with production and post production for over 20 years and found myself starting over again after slowing down to raise my son in his first years. After a slow and steady (and much needed) redesign of my website, I'm days away from finally launching it as well as starting a blog focusing on the challenges of the artist and his/her identity drawing from my life experiences (good and bad) to provoke thought, start discussions and hopefully inspire artists to break free from those horrible inner voices that hold us back from achieving great things. I deeply feel that wonderful events and people are approaching soon and hope those people will be from this community. The only way we can combat all the negative forces coming from all sides is by supporting each other.

Steve, what a great introduce yourself post. Wow, 20 years working in production and post is really impressive. Once this creative world draws you in, you are in for life. You are in such a positive place with such a positive community and I guarantee you will find your tribe to work on your next projects here. So glad you introduced yourself this weekend! I watched "Second Acts" and really enjoyed it... love the awards in the background ;)
Thanks so much Julie! This was a better pick me up on a Monday morning than any cup of coffee! I really wish in my early years there was a supportive community like this available. It was all about competition in the 90's unfortunately and even today to some degree. But like you saw in my "Second Acts" segment, I've found so many positive sources and communities out there geared to build up the artist. And over my 20 years, I did walk away from it all twice, but was always found myself drawn back. Yes, I am in for life!
