How long should a scene be? In only fools and horses a typical argument between Del and Rodney in the living room would be about 4 minutes. Some TV soaps like coronation (not comedy) would be 45 seconds but you can’t have a serious comic argument in 45 seconds. My first attempt has scenes that are typically 5.5 to 5.5, and I can’t relay shorten them without loosinf the impact.

Typically a minute per clip or less. CD's won't take time to watch whole scene. They too busy. I hear them say this all the time in Q and A sessions as I moderate/work as a reader CD workshops.
