In his writing he breaks down the meaning of the word, "Church" and goes on to explain what the Bible says about the true meaning of the word. Even though he quotes Bible passages, he is great at breaking down the terminology into layman's terms. A line that the author wrote instills my faith in myself and my religion. The author brings to light the thought of the true Christian and how he/she differs from the different religions and what will unite the true Christian Churches. The author proceeds to list and bring out in layman's terms the Five Basic Doctrines of the Christian Church. He goes on to warn of cults, revivalists and televangelists, that the true word of God that is being ministered outside the "Church" can be misleading. Author Maxwell Kobina Acquah has condensed the Bible theme into a reading that can be done in 1-2 hours. The highlights in the book cover the following: ~ God's initial creation and intention for man ~ man's rebellion and sin ~ God's need to judge His creation through the flood ~ God's grace and desire for you to live for Him. The Scriptures are numerous and wonderfully listed where the reader can gain clarity on each of these topics discussed. Like the title states there is a condition and man must be mindful of the free will given and how disobedience can block blessings. Acquah understands we live in a fallen world and it doesn't mean all will be well accepting Christ. Who knew that this short book would be filled with such positive feedback for the reader that is looking to find his or her way to God? In the first chapter titled, THE FIRST LIFE ON EARTH ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE the author writes of the beginning when God created Heaven, earth and man. In our age of modernity and our seemingly endless races against meaningless, it is a good thing to be reminded what matters most. This is especially true for believers of YHWH (Jehovah). The contents of the book are written in simple proses, which can be easily comprehend and be completed within an hour of leisure read. The author and editor of ‘Eternity’ have made a timely reminder to believers of the faith on two things: 1) “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matt 4:17) 2) “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” (Matt 9:37) Particularly I find the book’s tag line ‘(Eternity)... Is Just A Step Across The Threshold’ (though could be seen from a wearisome angle) to be rather apt. At the same time, the tag line could also be construed as while ‘final victory has already been won’ yet ‘earthly work remains aplenty and needs to be done’. ‘Eternity’ has my recommendation, especially to believers of YHWH.
