Introduce Yourself : New to the business but not new to the art by Kathleen Lambert

Hi everyone from sunny Vista, CA! I just joined Stage 32. I'm a new screenwriter, a member of San Diego Writers Ink and The San Diego Screenwriters Read & Critique led by Carlos de los Rios. I have spent the last 20 years as a Presbyterian Pastor and so have gathered very similar experiences to the entertainment business. I have been pressed to write under weekly deadlines for sermons, reports and inspirational articles. I have honed public speaking and networking skills. And I live in a world that seeks out meaning in many creative outlets. I currently have three projects I'm working on: a feminist feature-length comedy; an action thriller feature length film; and a documentary to heighten awareness of women's issues. I was just hired to be a screenwriter for a short film for The San Diego Film Festival through Stage 32! So I'm starting off 2016 with major mojo.
