Lets say someone is inept at social media! Or more importantly, how do you get your story to stand out and your message to people to stand out over the millions of others trying to do the same thing. I mean, aren't you sick of films asking for money? What are your thoughts on developing a great strategy to get people to want to contribute to a micro feature?

I think that your campaign has to reflect you, it has to be personal and show your experiences that made you want to make the particular film you want to make. Above all else you have to be honest about your intentions with the fundraising. Keep in constant contact with your audience. Hope this helps.

The funding campaigns which have impressed me have always involved something along the lines of 'Here's what did on our own with our own time, effort, and money. Now we are looking for funds to (complete, edit, whatever).
