Do you work in the moment? or do you use emotional recall. The latter refers to dramatic scenes only. The first to all actors in general. Example: Meisner Technique vs Stanislavski Method technique??
Great questions. I've been asking a series of questions along the lines of "when did you decide you were an actor?" So often artistic pursuits are thought of as hobbies. Side interests. And that one should learn a trade that pays money, and then, if you still want to do this acting thing…evenings and weekends. So I've been asking "At what point did you start telling people you were an actor instead of whatever occupation you were paying your bills with?"
I always worked at what we call a "regular job" and nights and weekends, I always did theater, took acting classes. Now, I've always, since age 12, been a writer. I don't know when or if any of my screenplays will ever get green light like they say in the industry) but as long as stories enter my head / heart, I will write until I'm crippled or dead. Acting? It's my second passion and it has helped me tremendously with my writing. Every writer should take at least six months of acting classes in a method or Meisner acting techniques. What do you think fellow writers and actors?? You should all write.

What's the most interesting thing you've learned while working?
That's a good one. Open ended questions lead to great discussions. The problem is, it's difficult to think of a lot of different ones.
