From Vietnam!!

Gooood moooorning Vietnam!! My name is Maurice Nash and I just joined the community! I now live in Vietnam where I hope to find work as an actor whilst writing and developing my action feature film. I recently finished filming, as the second main lead, in an action film which will be out later this year 2016 called - THE GLORIOUS SEVEN - back in Europe and I'm also looking for opportunities to collaborate internationally where ever there is an opportunity. I practice Karate, Tai Chi and I am a certified Hatha Yoga and Meditation and English teacher. By nature I always like trying new things!!! And I have a healthy sense of humour, whatever that maybe ehhehehehehe.... Namaste _/|\_

Welcome, Maurice. How is teaching Vietnam, the food and people? I was thinking about getting my teaching English as a foreign language certificate and go teach in SEA. And my main goal for that is to transition from teaching English to teach Screenwriting in China.

Maurice Nash

Hi, thx, Vietnam is great!!! Food, people, things are different to, perhaps, what you might be used to but in a positive way. I think it's a very good idea to have the teaching certificate though is not always necessary to have it for jobs over here but better to have it as you will have it for life and it's a surviving tool you can use anywhere you go. Sounds really good the idea of teaching screen writing in China, anywhere in particular? I hope to go to Hong Kong sometime this year, to see what's it like for acting opportunities as I believe they have a bigger and international market over there though it's extremely expensive to live but depending on how things develop in Vietnam, that could be a possibility. I read your profile and it's fantastic!!! And love all the genre's you like writing too!

Tao R.M.

Yeah, it is kinda different though adjusting to a new culture and people. But you look like a very cultured person and doing fine. About the filmmaking thing, yes, there's probably more opportunities over in HK plus they speak English so easier to communicate. But like you said it's too expensive. Yeah, unlike China, Vietnam is developing and leaning towards America a little more despite the bad history between the two. Speaking of Vietnam, were you in this Vietnamese film called "Bay Rong." See link below for trailer. I'm thinking Shanghai because that's where the mainland China film industry is centered though I'm not much of a city person. I'd prefer the quiet of countryside. But if I have to work in the city then I'll live there. Thanks for dropping by. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_XzuDju_E0

Wow! Cool film, no I was not in the film as it was from 2009 and I only moved to Vietnam last year. I love films like that and that's what I intend to find, of course I like all other acting challenges, but since I do Karate and Tai Chi and can use some weapons I hope to find projects on the same note, any other films you recommend?

Funny, that's one of my favorite Robin Williams/Forest Whitaker films to this day! Welcome to Stage32. Lots of talent here to collaborate with your projects. And just nice all around people on here from all over the world!

Welcome, Maurice to Stage 32. You are the curious type and curiosity is what keeps many of us, myself included, going. Greetings from NYC, proud to meet you and can't wait to see your work, buddy.

Tao R.M.

Not at the moment, but I'll send you some more when I recall them.
