Hi! I just finished writing my first spec script, an episode of 2 Broke Girls for class :) I'm studying screenwriting to learn how to write a film about my father's experience living in hiding as a child in Nazi occupied France. I didn't realize how emotionally demanding this type of work is, so I'm balancing out with my own version of Half-Baked II. Talk about a dichotomy! I would love to know more about the industry, what screenplay readers look for, and I'm going to need an agent- someone can take good care of my dad's movie and put it in the right hands. Best of luck to all! It's a fun, scary, and exciting journey :)

Welcome to Stage 32, Esther. I feel your pain in writing such a personal story, I did the same with my first adult screenplay, but it was worth it. Everyone here is great, so if you have questions, just start a thread or head over to happy writers where you will find education and pitching advice to agents and executives. See you in the lounges.

Keep in touch, Esther. When you are here you are family. Stole that phrase from Olive garden, I just love Italiano food!
