Recovery of Your Inner Child - Lucia Capacchione I love this book. I wish I could find this woman and give her a huge hug. I've been struggling with a huge, crippling, intense block over the past few years that I've been (unsuccessfully) trying to write my way out of. A series of not-so-great things (read: pretty awful) have happened to me semi-recently that have created a bunch of subconscious blocks that I've been (again, unsuccessfully) trying to remove. This book, though I've only had it and been doing the exercises for about a week and a half, has helped tremendously. That and a couple of really fantastic meditations/hypnoses I found on YouTube. I did the creative child exercises last night and I came up with tons of ideas and felt passionate about them today (aaaaaah, something else I've been missing!) I have always been supremely creative and it's nice to feel it coming back. It's like I've been missing a limb or something. And: The Complete Works of John Leguizamo, whom I love and adore beyond words. It's a compilation of his one-man shows, a little bit of insight into his creative process, and logistics of how he not only made these shows happen, but made them hugely successful.
